Ono Makoto
Ono Makoto is a main character appearing mostly in the second season of Hi Score Girl. She is Ono Akira's older sister. She is heir to the Ono Family, but she wanted to follow her own path so she moved aside, therby making Akira the heir. Because of this, she feels much guilt, since Akira must spend her days studying hard and not having much fun. When Makoto learns of Yaguchi and of the friendship between him and Akira, she does whatever she can to push Yagushi into realizing his true feelings for Akira. She provides much comic relief in the series, befriending Yaguchi's mom and often visiting Yaguchi in his room.
Makoto is in college and on break from her studies through much of the series. She rides a scooter and she has a big sense of humor. She gifts the scooter to Yaguchi when he gets his license, thereby encouraging him to use the scooter to visit Akira.
